Webinar on “The Technologies Powering the Next Generation of Developers”

The Department of MCA at Paavai Engineering College, in association with the Institutions Innovation Council (IIC), organized an online webinar titled “The Technologies Powering the Next Generation of Developers” on 4th April 2026. The session featured Suhas Parameshwara, Senior Software Engineer, Senior Full Stack Engineer, and Microsoft MVP at Conga, Marathahalli, Bengaluru, as the resource person. The event commenced with a welcome address by Dr. P. Muthusamy, Head of the MCA Department, who also delivered the presidential address.

During the session, Mr. Suhas Parameshwara provided valuable insights into how students can prepare themselves for the competitive IT industry. He elaborated on key stages of software development, including problem-solving, coding practices, faster releases through automation, and building globally scalable software systems.

He further explained modern technological domains such as cloud computing and DevOps, covering aspects like server management, containerization, cloud services, CI/CD pipelines, and global scalability. A significant part of the session focused on the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence in software development. He demonstrated how AI can help developers generate code efficiently, debug faster, create tests and documentation, and quickly learn new technologies.

The speaker also outlined the essential skills required by the industry and provided a clear roadmap for students transitioning from academia to professional careers. The webinar concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. C.Rathnakumar, Associate Professor, Department of MCA.

Students from the MCA and Cyber Security departments actively participated in the session and greatly benefited from it. The webinar successfully encouraged students to explore and develop expertise in emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, and DevOps.
