The Electronics club of the department of ECE in association with the ISTE had organized an event on 20.07.2023

The  Electronics  Club  of  the  Department  of  Electronics and Communication  Engineering  in association with the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) had organized  an event titled “Tech Match Up-Puzzle Contest”  on  20th July 2023  from 2.30 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. The event was conducted for all the branches of Paavai Engineering College. Dr.M.Sudha, Professor and Head, Department of ECE was the Convener. She addressed the students and stressed the importance of attending such puzzle contests to keep themselves involved and to enhance their critical and logical thinking. Dr.G.Balasubramani, Professor and Head, Department of Chemical Engineering, was the jury and he appreciated the efforts taken by the ECE department in organizing events regularly. He also insisted the students to update their knowledge and skills.

It was a two round event and the first round was puzzle identification that involved questions related to word puzzles, crossword puzzles, riddles, jumbled words, suduko. There were 40 batches of participants with around 80 students from various branches of engineering and it was conducted in the Main Building ECE department RoomNo.213. The students were keen and interested in finding out the puzzles that has unveiled the mind power of the students. In the second round, ten batches were shortlisted and were examined with a single crossword puzzle. The first prize was won by the students of Information Technology department – M.Parivalavan and team. The other teams were appreciated and recognized for their efforts. The winners were awarded with a certificate by the Jury and the Head of the Department, ECE. Dr.R.Mohana Priya, Associate Professor, Mr.S.Sathish, Electronics Club coordinators along with student coordinators, S.Niranjan from final year, P.Naveen from and Niranjan from third year ECE organized this event. Faculty members from ECE and other members of electronics club attended the event. As per the feedback collected from the students, they added it was an opportunity to showcase their logical skills and talents.
