Youth Red Cross of PEC in association with Manipal Hospitals, Salem had organized an awareness programme on “No Tobacco Day” on 31.05.2022

The Youth Red Cross of Paavai Engineering College in association with Manipal hospitals, Salem had organized an Awareness programme on “No Tobacco Dayon 31st May 2022 in Prestige Hall between 3.00 p.m to 4.00 p.m. Dr.A.Elakya M.B.B.S, M.D.,Manipal hospitals was the Chief guest. The inauguration started with the prayer song. The welcome address was given by B.Dharani from II year Electronics and Communication Engineering. Dr.K.K.Ramaswamy, Director Administration gave the presidential address and explained the awareness about the effects of tobacco consumption.

Dr. Elakya M.B.B.S., M.D.,consultant pulmonologist chief guest addressed the students and discussed the impact of Tobacco consumption and about the nicotin used in tobacco. After the session the chief guest cleared the students queries. The vote of thanks was delivered by M.Praveena from Third year Electrical and Electronics Engineering.Mr.S. Sathish, YRC Coordinator,200+ students participated in the Awareness programme on “No Tobacco Day”.
