CSE, IT & Cyber Security Departments – National Level Conference Organized

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, the Department of Information technology and the  Department of Cybersecurity, Paavai Engineering College organized a one-day National level Conference on “Emerging Trends in IT, CSE & Cyber Security “NCETICC’22 ” on 15th October 2022 through Microsoft Teams. Dr S Prabhu, Associate Professor, Department of Banking Technology, Pondicherry University (A Central University), India was the chief guest. He  emphasized the importance of research in Artificial intelligence, Cybersecurity and deep learning. He informed about the research project carried out by MIT & Harvard university which mimics the human body behavior and about the research of Oxford university, in which hypertension is monitored by  using AI to  predict  the cardiovascular diseases.

He said that Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a revolutionary field of Computer Science, which is ready to become the main component of various emerging technologies like big data, robotics, cybersecurity and IoT and it will continue to act as a peak  technological innovator in the coming years. He discussed on the importance of  New Emerging Trends and Policies system for carrying out research activities. He insisted on the data privacy issues and protection .He elaborated about Side channel attacks caused by hackers by utilizing delay taken, while sending data to the ports. He also discussed about honeypots and insisted that everyone should gain proficiency to become cross specialized experts and grab  the millions of opportunities available. He also explained about three initiatives- AI, Cybersecurity and 5G Technologies.

He also added that  these National Conferences will act as a platform to expose one’s skills and technology. Innovation and responsiveness are the important aspects to be considered. Mrs.P.Renukadevi, Associate Professor, Department of CSE,, Paavai Engineering College,delivered the welcome address.

Dr . M.Premkumar, Principal,Paavai Engineering College, delivered the presidential address.  Dr.P. Thiyagarajan, Assistant Professor, IT PEC, introduced the Chief guest.

Dr.D. Banumathy, Head of the Department, CSE, Paavai Engineering College, gave the prelude to NCETICCC’22. More than 90 papers from various Colleges across the nation were received. Finally, the Vote of Thanks was delivered by Professor B Venkatesan, HoD/IT, Paavai Engineering College.
