About the Department

Since its establishment in 2005, the Department of Management Studies at Paavai Engineering College has made significant strides towards becoming a premier B-School. With a highly qualified and dedicated faculty, the department is deeply rooted in Indian cultural ethos. Its mission is to cultivate ethical, inclusive, and innovative global leaders who possess the acumen and courage to redefine business and societal paradigms, ultimately enhancing quality of life.

The program emphasizes a practical approach, integrating industry expertise into its curriculum design and delivery each year to keep students updated on current and emerging trends. In addition to adopting global best practices, the department houses an internal Pedagogical Research Centre to cater to students’ learning needs. The Career Development Centre ensures students are on the right career trajectory, while the Incubation Cell supports student start-ups.

Dr.N.Swarnalatha,

Department of Management Studies

Dr.N.Swarnalatha, is working as a Professor and Head, Department of Management Studies, Paavai Engineering College, with a qualification of MBA., M.Phil., Ph.D. She has completed the Ph.D in the topic of Women Empowerment with special reference Self Help groups –Empirical Study.

She is privileged to have more than a decade of teaching experience for both UG and PG programs and she is always passionate about Teaching. She has presented 35 papers in both National and International Conferences. She has also attended various informative workshops and FDPs.

She has a wide knowledge and exposure in organizing workshops, conferences and organized 12 Workshops, 6 conferences, 7 Faculty Development Programme and more than 120 Student’s Development Programme in her career.

She has always strived to prove herself as a best faculty in all her tenure of work as HOD of Management Studies. Also worked as Director cum Principal for Past 6 years. She has Produced 100% results in various subjects and have the pride of grooming the MBA graduates in all aspects. She has guided more than 250 MBA Projects and 15 M.Phil. Thesis.
