Academic Year 2023 – 2024

Paavai Engineering College, in association with the Google Developer Student Club, achieved a significant entry in the India Book of Records with 3,197 students involved in Python programming using Google Colab to deliver profound social messages during Programmer’s Day (September 13, 2023)

Paavai Engineering College received appreciation from AICTE and Brain o Vision for hosting an international-level student workshop on ‘Data Science using Python,’ held from February 19, 2024, to February 23, 2024.

Paavai Engineering College has secured All India Rank 1 among 2000+ colleges’ participation in the Internship Day for the year 2023.

Paavai Engineering College has secured All India Rank 1 among 400+ colleges’ participation in the Internshala Annual Ranking for the year 2023.

Paavai Engineering College received Top Innovation Research Institution Award from CII-Industrial Innovation Award 2022.

Our college always adopts uniqueness in moulding the personalities of the students by following its own distinctiveness, christened “Mandatory registration for internships for all students.” 

Internshala is an organization, which provides internships for various companies and Institutions that too for the deserving students who aspire to showcase their talents in different domains. This is a laudable service being done for betterment of student community. 

Every year Internshala announcing “Internshala Annual Ranking”and  awards were given to the Institutions which are performing well in this regard. In all India level our Paavai Engineering College Received the 1st Rank -Best Internship Record .Paavai Engineering College received this award for the past 4 consecutive years.

Paavai Engineering College received Top Innovation Research Institution Award from CII-Industrial Innovation Award 2021

Paavai Engineering College received All India Rank 1 during Internship Day’21 and Annual Ranking’21 from Internshala.

Paavai Engineering College is recognised as a “performer” under the category “colleges/institutes (technical)” in the Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievement (ARIIA) 2021.

M.Sudha Professor, ECE has elected as fellow of the Institution by The Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE), New Delhi on 29th May 2020.

  • R.Mohanapriya ASP, ECE has acted as a “Resource Person” for the AICTE sponsored two weeks Faculty Development Programme organized by department of ECE, Ramachandra College of Engineering, Andhra Pradesh, on 01st& 08th Dec 2020.

  • Internshala is an organization , which provides internships for various companies and Institutions that too for the deserving students who aspire to showcase their talents in different domains. We are proud to inform that more than 8456 students of Paavai Engineering College are getting benefitted with stipend by internship through Internshala. An ‘Internship day ‘ was organized Internshala on 24.08.2021 through Virtual mode and awards were given to the Institutions which are performing well in this regard .In all India level our Paavai Engineering College Received the 1st Rank -Best Internship Record.

  • Yuthan from III Year ECE has been selected in “Summer Research Fellowship” sponsored by Indian Academy of Sciences(IASc), Banglore , Indian National Science Academy(INSA) New Delhi ,The National Academy of Sciences, India(NASI).

  • Yuthan from III Year ECE has selected for “Research Internship” titled “Climate, Water, Health and the Environment” at Université INRS – Québec, Canada with stipend of Rs.70,000 /-funded by Mitacs and AICTE on 16.04.2021

  • Pragadeesh from III Year ECE has selected for “Research Internship” titled “Remote sensing for nuclear energy and radiation therapy” at University of Guelph – Guelph, Canada with stipend of Rs.70,000/- funded by Mitacs and AICTE on 16.04.2021

  • Paavai Engineering College is categorized as ‘Band B’ institution (rank between 26-50) in category of ‘Private or Self-Financed College/Institutes’ in Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievement (ARIIA) 2020 announced on 18 Aug 2020.

  • NAAC-Accredited with a CGPA 3.14 on a four point scale at ‘A’ Grade valid for a period of 5 years. Recognized under section 2 (f) of the UGC Act, 1956

  • CSE,CIVIL,ECE and EEE departments are accredited by National Board of Accreditation for Three Years(2017-18 to 2019-20)

  • Our institution has secured Platinum position in AICTE – CII 2020 consecutively for past 6 years

  • Established Business Incubation Center under Ministry of Micro Small Medium Enterprises.(MSME).

  • A Center for Foreign Language has been established namely Japanese, French, German and Mandarin.

  • Stands 7th position in TNEA 2019 counselling.

  • Paavai has been certified as Recognized Social Entrepreneurship, Swachhta & Rural Engagement Cell (SES REC) Institution by Mahatma Gandhi National Council of Rural Education, Dept. of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India.

Anna University Annual Sports Award – Paavai Engineering College is Champion again

For the 5th year in succession, Paavai Engineering College, Namakkal won the “Champion of Champions” Trophy with a tally of 780 points in the Anna University sports Board competitions held for the year 2018 – 2019. As many as 500 students took part in the competitions from over 543 Institutions in 19 Zones.

Innovation And Sustainability Award

Our Paavai Engineering College received”Innovation and Sustainability Award for Engineering College-2019 “Instituted by Institution of Engineers (india) , Salem, in appreciating our services for the cause of Engineering fraternity. Our Principal and IE(I)coordinator and Head of Information Technology B. Venkatesan received this award during the 52th Engineers’ Day Celebration on 18.09.2019.

Best Internship Record – All India :

Internshala is an organization, which provides internships for various companies and Institutions that too for the deserving students who aspire to showcase their talents in different domains. We are proud to inform that more than 1000 students of Paavai Engineering College are getting benefitted with stipend by internship through Internshala. An ‘Internship day‘ was jointly organized by AICTE and Internshala on 25.08.2019 at the AICTE Office, New Delhi and awards were given to the Institutions which are performing well in this regard. In all India level our Paavai Engineering College Received the 1st Rank – Best Internship Record. 

Most Innovative College Award:

Paavai Engineering College has received the prestigious award of “Most Innovative College Award-South Zone”.

  • Paavai Engineering College, Prof B.Venkatesan, HoD/IT & ISTE Faculty Advisor received the prestigious award of “Best ISTE Student Chapter Award-2018 ” for our significant contribution to the growth of Technical Education through ISTE Student Chapter level activities.

  • Paavai has been ranked 24th in India and 5th in Tamilnadu –Times Engineering Survey.

  • Among the 542 Engineering Colleges all over Tamil Nadu, Paavai Engineering College got First Rank.

Sports & Games :

  • Consecutively for Four Years in the Anna University Sports and Games Competitions held at Chennai.

  • 15 Sports students from our institution have got various government jobs in Central Board of Excise, Indian, Army, Western Railways, Southern Railways, Income Tax, Postal and Police departments.

R & D Activities:

  • 5 of our departments have been recognized as Research Center by Anna University

  • Received “South Asia Best 25 Preparation Centers Awards for Higher Education” from Cambridge Assessment Centre.

  • Received Best Partner (College) status from QEEE for the past three years.

  • Received Gold Zone Award from Indian Association for Blind, Madurai.

  • We applied for NIRF ranking and we are striving towards to be placed within 100 ranks.

Received Funds from Various Agencies:

  • Received 1 Crore for INDO – UK Higher Education Partnership Program (Newton Bhabha) Royal Academy of Engineering, UK Project.

  • Received Rs.3,66,880 from AICTE – MODROBS for ECE Department.

  • Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) sanctioned an amount of Rs.26 lakhs for skill development programme benefitting the educational dropouts and unemployed youth in and around the district.

  • Received Rs.40, 000 from ICMR for a Two day National Seminar on “Awareness about Safety of Human Health among natural environment” organized by ECE Department.

  • Received Rs.10,000 from TNSCST for a One day workshop on “A Hand talk gloves with flux sensor” organized by ECE Department.

  • Received Rs.10,000 from IE for a One day seminar on “5G Technology” organized by ECE Department.

  • Received Rs.10,000 from IE for a One day workshop on “The Internet of Things, Application Development” organized by IT Department.
